Glass Skin Goals? Meet Your Morning Upgrade
Glass skin is the fall beauty goal: a complexion that looks smooth, plump and luminous. Pique’s Carrara Marine Collagen makes supporting that glow a delicious part of your morning routine.
After 90 days on Carrara, 83% reported smoother skin, 80% reported plumper skin and 86% reported greater skin satisfaction.
Each serving combines Type I marine collagen to support skin radiance with rare Type II collagen, sourced from wild Hokkaido salmon, to support elasticity. Together, they bring skin support into a daily ritual that feels like a treat.
Two scoops blend into morning matcha for a creamy latte, making consistency easy as fall schedules fill up. A warm cup, a quiet moment and nourishment from within become part of the same routine.
For anyone pursuing that luminous glass-skin look through sweater season, Carrara adds a beauty upgrade to a habit they already love.

LOCAL NEWS

FR Boys Soccer Repeats as Section Champs, Hosts a WPIAL Playoff Game Saturday
Franklin Regional's boys shut out fifth-ranked Penn-Trafford 5-0 on Tuesday in front of more than 400 fans to clinch a second straight Section 1-3A title, TribLive reports. The Panthers are 14-1-2, unbeaten in 16 with six straight shutouts, and outscored section foes 56-1 for their eighth section crown in 10 years. Seeded No. 2 in WPIAL Class 3A behind Plum, FR hosts No. 15 Shaler at 1 PM Saturday. The WPIAL finals are Nov. 5 to 7 at F.N.B. Stadium.

Proposed Gas Well in Salem Township Draws Questions From Neighbors
JKLM Energy has applied to the state DEP for a natural gas well pad on a Forbes Road farm near Totteridge Golf Course in Salem Township, tapping leases from about 64 owners on roughly 1,057 acres, TribLive reports. About 25 residents raised concerns about emissions, runoff, noise, traffic and old mine subsidence at this week's supervisors meeting. Supervisors said the state, not the township, regulates drilling, noting Salem has no zoning and that a state Supreme Court ruling struck down its earlier attempt about 20 years ago. They plan to ask DEP, which is still reviewing the permit, for a meeting.

Help Put Up 340 Flags Along Route 22
American Legion Post 711 is looking for volunteers for its Flags Over Murrysville program, TribLive reports. Nine times a year, for holidays and observances, the group puts up about 340 flags along the Route 22 corridor. Putting them up takes about 90 minutes and taking them down about an hour, and volunteers get a sign-up chart a week before each flag day. To add your name, call 412-334-4496.

MURRYSVILLE HISTORY

The Penns' Private Manor of Denmark, 1769
William Penn's heirs kept some prime frontier land for themselves, and in 1769 they set aside the Manor of Denmark, surveyed as 5,000 acres but really about 5,771, with its edge reaching into today's Murrysville. It was one of 92 Penn manors in the state and one of two in Westmoreland County. The Divesting Act of 1779 took the family's unclaimed land but let them keep their manors, paid them £130,000 and ended their quitrents, sometimes a single peppercorn a year. Split into 18 lots in 1784, the manor was sold off, and Philip Keister bought Lot 18, 481 acres, on March 18, 1806.
Hidden Murrysville: Flinn Reserve
Part of Keister's lot is now the Westmoreland Conservancy's Flinn Reserve. The Flinns bought 62 acres in 1960 and later donated 20, and the conservancy added 84 acres along Lyons Run in 2018. Red maples, tulip poplars and sassafras make it one of the conservancy's most colorful spots in fall. Park on the west side of Boxcartown Road, about a quarter mile from School Road South, and try the 3/8-mile trail from the kiosk. Wear blaze orange, it's hunting season.
